Information we collect
- Demo request form. When you submit the form we receive your name, restaurant name, location, number of branches, email address or phone number, and the product you are interested in.
- Messages you send us. If you email us or message us on WhatsApp, we receive the contents of your message and your contact details.
- Usage data. Through Google Analytics we collect information about how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed, the website you came from, approximate location (country and city), device and browser type, and whether you clicked our buttons or started the demo form.
- Spam-protection data. Google reCAPTCHA analyses interactions on the form, such as device and browser information, to tell humans from bots.
How we use your information
- To respond to your demo request or enquiry and arrange a walk-through of LetMenu.
- To understand how the website is used so we can improve it.
- To protect the website and the form from spam and abuse.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Under UK data protection law, we rely on our legitimate interests (running and improving our business and keeping our site secure), on steps you ask us to take before entering a contract (responding to your demo request), and on your consent where required (for non-essential cookies such as analytics).
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic and engagement, which sets cookies in your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out browser add-on to stop your data being used by Google Analytics. Google reCAPTCHA may also set cookies and collect data under Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Who we share information with
We use trusted service providers to run the website and handle enquiries. They only process information on our behalf or under their own privacy terms:
- EmailJS — delivers demo form submissions to our inbox.
- Google — Google Analytics (usage measurement) and reCAPTCHA (spam protection).
- Vercel — hosts the website.
- WhatsApp (Meta) — if you choose to message us on WhatsApp, your conversation is handled under WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy.
International transfers
Some of these providers are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer under UK data protection law, such as approved transfer mechanisms.
How long we keep your information
We keep demo request and enquiry details only as long as needed to respond to you and manage any resulting relationship, and to meet legal or accounting requirements. After that we delete or anonymise them. Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings we configure in Google Analytics.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete your information, in certain circumstances.
- Object to or ask us to restrict how we use your information.
- Withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it.
